Design Description:

Remote shortcircuiter with high current is designed for standards of diversified bettery,which require internal resistance ≤100mΩ to get the maximum short circuit current and to be able to bear high-current stroke.therefore,we choose industrial DC electromagnetic contactor,copper terminal and internal copperplate guide.Efficient

heat dissipation,secure shortcircuiter,reducing loss of test device and ensure data accuracy.

Meet Standard:standard of GB , IEC ,EN ,UN38.3 ,UL1642 / UL 2054,QC/T 742-2006,QC/T 743-2006,etc.Observe it after test finished 6h later with temperature of external enclosure≦170℃.Battery qualified without integration or crack.

Meet New International Standard

1.External short circuit under normal temperature.

Fully charge the bettery according to specified test methods.Put it under 20℃±5.When battery’s temperature reaches 20℃±5,Place for 30mins,then connect the opposite and negative pole with wire and ensure all external resistance are 80mΩ±20mΩ.Monitor changes of bettery temperature.Finish the test when one of these two circumstances emerges:

a)Temperature drop 20% of the peak

b)24h connection

Battery qualified without fire and explosion.Less than 150℃

Note:Temperature coefficient of wire resistivity should be less than 5x10¯³℃¯¹,such as constantan wire.

2.High Temperature External Short Circuit

Fully charge the bettery according to specified test methods.Put it under 55℃±5.When batterys temperature reaches 55℃±5,Place for 30mins,then connect the opposite and negative pole with wire and ensure all external resistance are 80mΩ±20mΩ.Monitor changes of bettery temperature.Finish the test when one of these two circumstances emerges:

a)Temperature drop 20% of the peak

b)24h connection

Battery qualified without fire and explosion.Less than 150℃

3.Short Circuit Function under Short Circuit Protection

Conduct a 500-cycle test in order with sample

a)The opposite and negative pole in short circuit group and output terminal in protection circuit.

b)Place it for 1min after protection device works.

Total external resistance is 80mΩ±20mΩ in short circuit.

Device should work in each cycle.
